WHAT DO THE PAGE NAMES MEAN?
Cart Page
The page customers see when they click “View cart.” It shows a table of all of the products currently in their shopping cart. VIEW EXAMPLE
Categories Page
A page that contains links to all your categories or sections. The use of this page is optional. VIEW EXAMPLE
Email-A-Friend Page
Every Product Detail page has an “Email A Friend” link at the bottom. This allows the customer to enter their email address, their friend’s email address and a short message. When the customer clicks, “SEND” it sends the message along with a link to that particular product.
Main Products Page
This page can be accessed either by clicking link on the Categories page or another link placed within an HTML page. It displays a small image, the price, product options, and a short description (optional) of each product in that category. When they click the product, it leads to the Product Detail page. Product Detail Page
This is where the customer gets a full-sized picture of the product, along with the price, options, and a long description. VIEW EXAMPLE

HOW TO ADD A NEW PRODUCT
1. Open your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Safari)
2. Type in www.YOURWEBSITE.com/vsadmin/admin.php
3. Enter your login name and password
4. Go to the “Product Admin” section on the left-hand side
5. Click the appropriate category
6. Click “New Product”
7. Enter all details VIEW HOW-TO FOR ADDING IMAGES; VIEW HOW-TO FOR MODIFYING A PRODUCT
8. Click submit – all changes are made immediately
9. Don’t forget to log out
10. It’s a good idea to visit your website to proof the new product (Go to: www.YOURWEBSITE.com/categories to find the product)
HOW TO MODIFY A PRODUCT
11. Open your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Safari)
12. Type in www.YOURWEBSITE.com/vsadmin/admin.php
13. Enter your login name and password
14. Go to the “Product Admin” section on the left-hand side
15. Click the appropriate category
16. Click “Modify” next to the item you want to change
17. HINT: We strongly recommend that you copy and paste your item’s description into a Word (or Appleworks) document and save all the old descriptions in case you want to revert to them at some point. After all, you did put lots of time into writing those descriptions in the first place.
18. Scroll down to and modify the “Long description” to change what appears on your Product Detail page, or “Short description” to change what appears on the Main Products page
19. You may also change the price, section, name, reference (product number), shipping weight and exemptions (tax exempt, shipping exempt) by filling out the boxes on this page.
20. Additionally, you can temporarily show an item as “Out of Stock” by unchecking the “Sell” box on this page.
21. You may also choose to hide this product altogether (which means it will not show in the Main Products page or when they browse the store) by unchecking the “Display Product” box. Another way to do this is to create a category (under the “Categories” section) called “Old Products” and then move the item to this section by clicking the on “Modify” and clicking the “Section” menu and choosing “Old Products.”

HOW TO CHANGE PHOTOS/GRAPHICS
1. Open your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Safari)
2. Using either Contribute or your Control Panel, upload the photo/image to your website under the folder “prodimages” VIEW HOW-TO
3. After that, type in www.YOURWEBSITE.com/vsadmin/admin.php
4. Enter your login name and password
5. Go to the “Product Admin” section on the left-hand side
6. Click the appropriate category
7. Click “Modify” next to the item you want to change
8. To change the small photo that appears on the Main Products page, type in the photo name in the “Image:” box, leaving the words “prodimages/” intact. (Example “prodimages/toytrain.jpg”)
9. To change the large photo that appears on the Product Detail page, type in the photo name in the “Large Image:” box, leaving the words “prodimages/” intact. (Example “prodimages/toytrainbig.jpg”)
10. When finished, click “Submit” at the bottom of page
11. Don’t forget to log out!

HOW TO CHANGE PRODUCT OPTIONS
1. Open your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Safari)
2. Type in www.YOURWEBSITE.com/vsadmin/admin.php
3. Enter your login name and password
4. Go to “Product Options” section on the left-hand side
5. You can add a drop-down menu option by clicking “New Option” or a box in which the customer can type a line of specifications by clicking “New Text Input Option”
6. To add a drop-down, click “New Option” and then choose an option name (what the customer will see) and a working name (what you will see). For example, you may type “Size” for the option name but “sports jersey size” for the working name so that you know which product to add the option to.
7. Leave the “Force Selection” box checked
8. Then, fill out the options (such as small, medium, and large) one per line
9. If there is a price difference, type in a regular number (6) with no symbols to increase the price. To decrease the price, type a number preceded by a minus sign (-6). The same goes for weight differences. If you wish to make the differences a percentage, check the %box.
10. PLEASE NOTE: Do not add an Alternate Product ID because this will make the item appear Out of Stock unless you create a whole new product with that Alternate Product ID.
11. Click submit
12. Now, you must apply the option to a product by going to the “Product Admin” section on the left-hand side, clicking the appropriate category, and clicking “Modify” next to the product
13. Then, add as many options as necessary by choosing from the Prod. Option drop-down menus (Example: Prod. Option 1: sports jersey size)
14. Click submit
15. Don’t forget to log out!
16. It’s a good idea to visit your website to proof the modified product (Go to: www.YOURWEBSITE.com/categories to find the product)
HOW TO CHANGE STORE SETTINGS
1. Open your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Safari)
2. Type in www.YOURWEBSITE.com/vsadmin/admin.php
3. Enter your login name and password
4. You are now at the home page which has helpful link to many other admin sections
5. Go to “Main Settings” on the left-hand side
6. Make any necessary changes
7. PLEASE NOTE: If you change your password, email address, or store url, please write it down and store it in a safe place so that you will have it if you should request us to perform any sort of update on your webstore.
8. Don’t forget to log out!
HOW TO CHANGE SHIPPING
1. Open your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Safari)
2. Type in www.YOURWEBSITE.com/vsadmin/admin.php
3. Enter your login name and password
4. Go to “Main Settings” on the left-hand side
5. Scroll down to the “Shipping Type” and make sure you have selected the type you wish to use
6. Scroll through to the bottom and check that the other options are as you want them to be (such as weight in LBS or KGS, pack products together or separately, etc…)
7. Go to “Postal Zones” section on the left-hand side under “Shipping Admin” to change shipping prices
8. Next to “United States” click “Edit Rules”
9. Choose the number of shipping methods at the top of the page
10. Then specify, “For every (NUMBER OF LBS OR KGS) above highest weight, “Add an extra (PRICE) for standard shipping”
11. Click submit
12. Click “Shipping Methods” under “Shipping Admin” to modify
13. Don’t forget to log out!
14. It’s a good idea to visit your website to proof the changes (Go to: www.YOURWEBSITE.com/categories to get to product, then add to cart and go through the checkout process to proof the shipping charges)
HOW TO ADD DISCOUNTS/COUPONS
1. Open your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Safari)
2. Type in www.YOURWEBSITE.com/vsadmin/admin.php
3. Enter your login name and password
4. Click “Discounts” under the “Product Admin” section on the left-hand side
5. Fill out the specifications
6. Click submit
7. You must notify your customers of the code, which they will type in at the checkout to receive the discount
